Just a mish mosh of goodness found over the last few weeks:
I could spend hours playing with this infograph of information. Digg365 shows you what stories were most popular by month and day. Plus, it’s just wicked cool.
Uncork your compliments with Toast-its. They’re greeting cards that wrap around wine bottles.
MySpace Fan Video. Basically the coolest thing to come out of MySpace in a long time. The interesting part? They’re using Facebook Connect as well as the MySpace equivalent. From embracing Facebook to being able to purchase the track created to playing up that MySpace has become a place for musicians and music, I love the whole idea behind it.
The Internet in Numbers. I love trivia. I love big numbers. This is one to bookmark and add to a presentation when you want to amaze and awe or just get your point across that this Internet thing is kind of big.
What would a linkfest be without a video? The Coke Happiness Machine has been circulating like crazy. It’s another great example of how to fundamentally alter how people experience your brand:
Back in November I decided a post full of links was lame and a blogging cop out, so I stopped. But, then I realized that I like them. They’re fun to go back and reread and they remind me of all the really great links that I stumbled upon. Since this blog is for me, they’re back… as sporadically as I want them to be
I like Kayak’s iPhone app. It’s not the best and it sure could use some improvements, but at least they’re trying. How the iPhone Changed Kayak’s Business is a great article about how Kayak is shaking up the meta-search business.
the3six5 project is an intriguing one – 365 days, 365 points of view. Not to mention, 365 sharp minds. I can’t wait to read all of them (and be a part of the project).
Vulva jewelry. A find thanks to Regertsy. They’re customized designs. Just send a picture. In an odd way, some are kind of pretty. I don’t think I could wear a depiction of my vulva around my neck though. Maybe if I had a girlfriend I’d wear hers.
This picture. Totally stupid. It was the only funny thing I could find the other day.
This linkfest has been sitting in my drafts for weeks, but still, a few good links.
QR Codes. People still don’t quite see the possibilities. However, this article does a great job expanding on some of the possibilities and reasons why hotels would benefit from utilizing QR Codes.
My guilty pleasure is AXE advertising. Always edgy, always cutting edge. The incomplete ad that marries traditional print with mobile marketing is simple and pure genius.
I can’t wait for Best Buy’s holiday ad campaign to debut. The way they’re using cookies to engage and provide “value” is brilliant.
Finally, Texts From Last Night provides a “Best Of” <– They launched an iPhone app. I’m obsessed. They’re hysterical. Even more so than FML’s iPhone app
Originally, I decided I wanted to start saving all the links I tweeted about each week. But, when I started, I realized there were way too many. So, I’ve chosen to do my favorite tweeted links of the week, no more than ten. I’m a bit behind as these are links from two weeks ago:
