Brand Tags Take 4
I totally love Noah Brier’s Brand Tag Project. The even cooler part? He keeps adding to it. Now, you can check out Brands in Battle Mode and see which one people prefer. Too lazy to play the game? Check out the leaderboard.

How Many Brands Do You See?
Ninety brands later, thanks to Noah Brier’s Brand Tag Project and a cool idea from Dear Jane Sample, I too have created a Brand Profile. Jane Sample also started compiling every one’s Brand Timelines. See all the same, new and International brands others are using. So far, this Brand Day by Riot Girl is my favorite.
Five caveats to My Brand Timeline:
- Each logo was used only once (aside from Twitter) no matter how many times I encountered it during the day.
- Yes, I use store bought brands and no, I did not include them.
- Yes, I make it through the day without Google. It is not my search engine of choice.
- Things I couldn’t remember what brand they were (i.e. my bed, couch, etc.) weren’t included. Maybe those brands should do a better job branding themselves if they want to be included next time.
- Yes, this is all about perception. I know I encounter way more brands during the day. I either (a) forgot about them (b) didn’t want to include them or the most probable choice; (c) was just too lazy to find their logo.
The Web Steaker
This guy will streak across the website of your choice. The upside? He’s cute and pink; unlike most streakers out there. Not quite sure what it has to do with Vodafone though… kinda like Office Max’s “Elf Yourself viral campaign. I think Colle McVoy did a much better job of aligning Atmosphere with a viral campaign, Paint That Shit Gold, that makes sense for the brand. It shows too with the amount of submissions and buzz its received in just a few short months.
Criss Angel, How I Love Thee – NOT!
Oh, how I wish I could do this in real life. But, alas I think I’d get in trouble, so this Beating Card from Faber vs. Pulver will have to do.
Brand Tags
Just another reason why I love Twitter: I stumbled upon Noah Brier’s Brand Tag project. Awesome idea that is basically a free, giant brand perception database.Go ahead, you know you want to see what others are saying about your favorite brands. Some of it is a big, “duh!”; obviously good for those brands that have worked years on their image. Other results are quite surprising though (doesn’t everyone love Disney?!). Enjoy! I certainly did.
Also, check out the video interview Noah did with npr news about the project.
